One thing we need to do for the future of our hobby is educate the public as to what the animal rights movement is all about. They have credibility they don't deserve. PETA is only funded by true animal rights supporters, which is not all that many people, whereas HSUS is supported by animal and pet lovers ( a very large group of people ) who don't know any better. Through HSUS, the animal rights movement is getting a lot more in donations than they would be getting if people knew the truth about HSUS. One thing we can do is inform everyone each one of us knows and hope they spread the word as well.
