Today Jen saw the 2 Dragons that were in need of immediate Vet care. She has already arranged surgery for the male with the gangrenous tail and it will cost me less than $75, bless her heart. The poor dragon won't have much tail left but we've already got someone interested in adopting him when he's ready to go. Of the 14 Dragons that we took in only two have all of their parts intact. There are 2 females that are missing a complete front arm, one female that is missing both right feet, and the rest are missing various degrees of digits, feet and legs. I know that in the group of 11 that are being fostered elsewhere, one female is missing both back legs at mid-thigh.
Everyone here is eating fresh salad like champs! Their stools are a bright green/blue color from the pellets they were being fed, and they stink pretty bad. As soon as I see some normal stools we'll have the fecals done. They look to be in good health overall, and hopefully we will find loving homes for them all when the time comes. I also hope to have photos next week...still waiting for Steph's new camera to arrive.
Thanks again, everyone. Your moral support is greatly appreciated and it's friends like you that help us go on and stay in the right direction. It's gonna be a long haul!
P.S. Got 2 more iguanas today too. That puts our iguana count at 29. Lately my dreams always revolve around chopping greens! LOL
