Hello, Just recently I have acquired my first snake and I since have become interested in breeding snakes. However, upon researching breeding, I have discovered that many breeders inbreed their animals. This can't be a requirement, can it? I mean, inbreeding in any animal causes a lot of problems down the way. Why are snakes inbred? You should be able to get interesting morphs by breeding two unrelated snakes with interesting genes. Also, when it is stated that people want to prove that their snake's patterning is genetic by inbreeding, that sounds rediculous. Isn't any feature belonging to your snake in it's genes and therefore genetic and bound to turn up in future clutches?
