Actually it sounds like your corn regurged (vomited) its food. Corns "relieve" themselves from their back end the same as everything else. Do you have a heat source in the viv? What are the temps? Did you handle him/her after feeding?
These are all questions that need answered before anyone here can give you any help,
As far as a 20gal long, a corn can live its entire life in that size. I had my first baby in one and he is still in it now at 2 years.
