I think they know instinctually that it would cost more energywise for them to constrict than to swallow a harmless prey item whole. Most BP's can start with something bigger than pinks. I will bet that if you start feeding your BP something with teeth(a larger prey item), it will constrict it first. [ Hide Replies ]
