Make sure the diet is good so the females can keep up with the milk for the babies and also the developing litter on the way. I raised rats before and I always kept the males with the females. I kept track how old each rat was and when they had babies and how many. Usually after 1 yr old then I started changing them out so you always have a constant supply of coming in. It worked good for me. [ Hide Replies ]
