>>1. Feeding a mix of fruit baby food/crested diet and crickets is good right?

That's fine...let me clarify though. If you are going to make a serious effort to get the crested to eat the CGD you should stay away from the baby food for now. Once they eat the CGD regularly you can try adding babyfood once and a while. Nutritionally, the CGD I light years ahead of any babyfood mix you can come up with. Although I have raised and bred cresteds on babyfood mixes alone(no bugs). As far as crix go, if you crested is eating the CGD regularly, you hav the choice of using bugs or not. If you decide to touse bugs also, I would highly recommend dust with the leopard gecko dust.

>>2. With thte baby food/crested diet, what type of calcium should I mix in there? For my leos I just use the sandfire stuff, so I'll need to go get something new for Piper the crestie!

The CGD already contains ALL the nutrients your crested needs. This is why it is best to mix the CGD with water as directed and not babyfood. And for the crix like I said use the leo dust (everytime you feed bugs) these two food item will offer all the calcium it needs. If it does ot accept the CGD after a few tries, Email me and I will give you the "recipe" for a babyfood mix I used to use.

>>3. Is the crested diet better than fruit baby food (I think I know the answer to this already) Or can you mix the baby food with the diet? Yes, answered in #1. You can mix the CGD with baby food, but it it not advised, as it will skew the ratio of nutrients in the diet. The CGD already has ingredients like banana powder and homey powder added to act as attractants.

If Piper does ot seems fond of the non-prey foods right now, by allmeans, go with a diet heavier on crix until it is bigger and try again.

good luck
