Aspen is my substrate of choice. No dust, easy to spot clean, they love to burrow in it so it acts as another hide and it isn't very expensive. The best.

I probably could add a cabinet at the bottom of each rack but I purposefully stoped a little off the floor just so I wouldn't have to bend over too far. bad back!
