Anyone who would say something like that is not worth even thinking about or responding to - it could only come from some insensitive clods who must have never had to go through any kind of difficulties themselves! Any normal herper will be keen to help if at all possible - I would be amazed if you don't find some of that same helpfulness in your local group.
