fake rock background

Has anyone built a cage with a fake rock background for a corn snake? I think that I really want to do something like that, but I'm not quite sure if the rough rocks would be too rough on my corn's soft skin. Of course I would still use a substrate(lizard litter). Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
