Do all yearlings refuse food this time of year..

I have been reading about yearling corns not eating this time of year. Mostly because they are becoming mature. My 2 corns are yearlings now so should I be expecting mine to start refusing food here sometime? They are just pets and I don't plan or want to breed them.



Also is it ok for the snake to be an 'only child' so to speak since they are just pets or do you have to give in to the snakes urges and get them a mate? I don't want to have a bunch of babies. I know my ghost is a male since I bought him from Kathy Love last year at a reptile show. And my friend thinks my amel is a female. They are housed on the same stand, one on top of the other. Each having a 20 gallon long tank. Does anyone see any problems with this or should I move one to a different spot in my room? They have been doing great with this set up and it's really the only way I can have them as I'm short on space. I just don't want them to go on a hunger strike trying to get to each other, assuming they are male/female.



Sorry for caring on but my corns are my first snakes and I just love them. I also have a honduran milk and a jungle carpet python. Thanks.
