At 55 days, I wouldn't be looking for anything yet. At about 65 days, you can start looking for them to have moisture on them. You'll notice that they'll sometimes start to "sweat" about a day or two before they hatch. Once the baby gecko pips the egg, I prefer to cut the egg wide open for them and then let them emerge on their own.
