I had one for a few years(knocked his water bottle over while I was away, and he dehydrated...poor thing, loved my little furball).



They might look like the cutest thing in the world--that's because they ARE the cutest things in the world--but they can be very predaceous. Mammals seem to be much more aggrssvie than reptiles, and gliders are no different. I used to let him run around my room, while I was there.



One time, he ran up the cage my veild was in, and reached for him through the wires. He was trying to eat my veild, which was about his size! He grabbed his tail through the cage, I had to pull him off--viscious little sucker.



I've known many instances where they had escaped--which they do, cause they're really smart and nimble handed. The worst was in a pet store. The owner opened up the next day, and the middle was chewed out of every baby veild they had--over a dozen of them. Another instance, a glider got out and killed a full grown rat, and ate it(not all of it, of course). Numerous incidents of them getting out, breaking into cages of other animals, and EATING THEM!



they are, however, the absolute best little creature to have, them and prarie dogs.
