Digging frenzy!?!?!?!

I have a female bd and as of late, she has been digging like a mad woman! Always in the same spot, where her basking area is. She actually digs so much that she reaches the bottom of her tank. What would make her want to dig like this. She has been doing this on and off for about a week, but today she is really going at it. She is a very healthy dragon with all the right temps. I even felt her belly to make sure she doesnt have eggs, and its all soft...I dont feel anything there. She is app. 9 months old (i think the pet store lied about her age when i got her...i think she was only a few weeks old). Any help would be appericated!
