It could easily be any of three different species of Nerodia (sipedon, fasciata or erythogaster. At this point it is best to check the range maps against the possibilities. I am inclined to doubt that it is erythrogaster based on the belly color and the way the bands extend down the sides....more later. [ Hide Replies ]
