It does look much like Drymarchon, except that they do not occur in Arizona. It could be a black kingsnake, Lampropeltis getulus nigritus. They only enter Arizona from Mecico at the southernmost point & have a very small range. If that's not where you live, then rule that one out. If it is an indigo, it's an escaped or released pet.
