I would like to see a law passed banning the breeding & selling of all cats and dogs, to alleviate the overcrowding at shelters. You can adopt almost any breed thru rescue groups. The reptile / exotic laws now being proposed are because of a few irresponsible jerks who like to see their names in the papers. I still don't see reptiles of any kind being offered in shelters.

Regarding the new reptile / exotic law passed by the Health Dept. recently. The only expert opinion they sought was the NY Herp Society. That's like asking General Motors for their opinion on car safety.
