Mealworm breeding/cycling question

I'm wondering if I should remove the adult beetles from the substrate so that they don't eat the eggs. Some caresheets seem to recommend it for this reason, while most others seem to never mention it, giving me the impression that the adults can be left in with the substrate with the eggs. I'm pretty confused about this matter and would really like it if someone could clear this up for me. Thanks to all those who reply.
