Rat Racks

I was wondering if it would be ok if I used one of those plastic 3 drawer storage containers(the ones on casters) that they have at walmart as a rat rack. I only need a small colony as I only have 3 snakes to feed (soon to be 4, I have an adult burm, and two subadult red tails, and this summer I'm planning on getting a baby burm). Would this be ok for a small colony if I drill holes towards the top for air circulation. Will they be able to chew through this? Thanks for any replies.
