That was me! I think it was the water, or some other environmental problem when I was living on Edwards Air Force Base in California. (I did try using bottled water, so it may have been something else) but all of those problems have stopped since I moved last summer.
It was a bad year, and I would have given up if not for all the support I got here, and from the breeder I purchased my original snakes from (Rich at Serpenco is really a great guy who encouraged me a lot). That first year I tried I lost~
Isis~ Milk Snake phase female Corn
Nefertiti~ Milk snake phase female Corn
Anubis~ Hypomelanistic Okeetee Male Corn
Osiris~ Butter Male corn
Imotep~ Hyposmelanistic Okeetee male Corn
Spider~ Grey banded male King
and two other un-named kings.
It was really very depressing, but things seem to be better now. I still have two of the original snakes (Ra and Banshee) that somehow survived that year, and I have many more snakes that are doing fine~
Ra~ Milk snake Phase Male Corn(Father of the clutch Hathore is laying in my post above)
Hathore~ Amel female Corn(Laying the eggs in the post above)
Banshee~ Hypomelanistic female corn Laid a clutch of 12 (6 slugs) on 4-13-03
Mr. Cleo~ Amel male corn (Tought he was a girl for 6 months, thats why his name was cleopatra!) Father of Banshee's clutch
Venus~ Amel Female corn
Izzy~ Abberant Cali King
Ms. BB~ Female normal Ball python
Marvin~ Male Normal Ball python (poss het)
Munch~ Male normal ball (poss het)

An incubator with 6 (maybe 7) GOOD eggs from Banshee (X Mr. Cleo) at least 12 eggs (All look good so far) from Hathore (X Ra) that I plan to keep most of the babies, and I have cash in my pocket and empty rubbermaids for the IRBA coming to Pamona this weekend!
So~ things are much better now~ Your right, it is a wonderful world!
