They will lay on, next to, beside, each other regardless of gender. It's as if they just view each other as a piece of the tree. However, if they are displaying, throat puffed up, mouth open, etc, there is something else going on. Either Erowen sees Erik/a as a threat or Erik/a is a male and Erowen isn't interested yet and is warning him away. It could just be adjustment since Erowen has had the pad to herself for so long.
Tripod isn't one of mine but I believe Joe purchased him as a female to put with Luke, the one he did get from me. Luke didn't appreciate the male intruder and I believe Tripods leg got broke in the tussle.
I will have to look through my albums and see if I can find the shot of one of my pairs doing "it". It would help you to decide what was going on perhaps. If I don't have it saved off in one of my folders on the hard drive I may have to scan in the print from my show book so it may take a day or two to get at it.
I am betting it is just an adjustment thing and time will work it out. I know the last female I introduced to my group was pretty wild and agressive when I first introduced her but she is much calmer now and is even more tolerant of me. ----- Marcia - FroggieB Dragons
