Introducing meat into the soil can create a whole bunch of bacteria problems, which in turn would be passed on to your pet. Using calcium sand to gutload them is something I have done on many occasions with success, however I have also used fresh fruit and veggies to gutload my worms as well. As the previous person pointed out if they are wild caught earthworms they could still have chemicals on or in them no matter how long you wait to feed them to your pet. Your best bet would be to buy farm raised worms. | ||
