Emails would be most helpful.
This is a perfect example of why keepers in states that don't have any laws should propose a permit system modeled after Florida's. This protects them from stupid laws banning the animals being enacted. The key to fighting these laws is to stress that there has never been a case of a venomous snake getting out and injuring a person. This is in comparison for the daily events in any city worldwide of dogs getting out and tearing the face off of little children. Similarly, more people get put in the hospital from cats than snakes over decades long periods. By and large, exotic reptiles are SAFER than household animals!!
These laws are being pushed by the animal rights extremists as part of their long term campaign to ban all animal pet keeping (including dogs and cats). They are scare mongering from the public safety aspect even though they don't care about that and its a red herring to begin with.
These laws need to be fought at every step since city councils have a tendency to be lazy and adopt-a-law from elsewhere.
