Does anyone know expressly what these ordinances say? From what I am reading, it seems venomous snakes, snakes longer than 6', and crocidilians longer than 30" as far as reptiles go. I realize the list goes on and on from the inane to just plain riduculous. I am curious as to how many hippos, giraffes and other exotics reside in Slinger. Is this ban applicable to iguanas and monitors too? From looking at the "grandfather" clause, it seems to say that individuals who own the above "banned" animals are supposed to register them with their town/village/etc. before October of 2004 so they can keep them but the powers that be can check on how you care for them whenever they want. I'm sure these board members wouldn't know the proper care for the reptiles from a hole in the ground.(Abused children should have it so good that a government agency should actually check up on them before it's too late.) Remeber folks, we live in the United States, the land of the free....explain free.
