Caudal (tail) striping and striping in general can be genetic or the result of environmental factors during incubation..

I think there are enough examples of it in the Hog Island boas and some related groups that it can be accepted there is in fact a genetic tendency for it in those animals. So far I haven't seen a case where breeding boas with caudal striping has led to a striped boa, Hog or otherwise.

Your HOGG is a very pretty animal.... but be aware that it displays some characteristics of known Hog Is. X Colombian or mainland BCI crosses. If it is important to you to breed real Hog is. boas (and it is not to everybody) you should check in to the heritage of that snake and carefully compare how it looks to examples of known Hog Is. boas.

Good luck with that project.
