55 gallons are poorly made for herps. If you know someone who repairs aquariums they could probably modify both and connect them to make a 110 gallon terrarium. Many more differen't herps could live in a 4' by 2' than a 4' by 1'. If you dont know of anyone, make a Vivarium for mantellas or poison dart frogs. Or make a bullfrog viv.
