You know, I wish I had documented this better.
I moved to a new place this past October. that was my first time moving with my boa collection and it became kind of a cluster___.. to say the least. I ended up housing my males and females together so that I needed to set up less cages in the new place initially, and since it was about that time to cycle boas, I went ahead and didn't feed them during that month and kept their heat down a little and didn't give them a warm spot. Once I was settled in to my new place, I got the temps back up to normal and got them back on their feed schedule. some of the boas started eating again right away and some took a little longer. During that time I noticed the Hoggs together a lot so I kept them together off and on. and then later in the spring I noticed that male wanted out of his cage in a bad way. That was about the time that I noticed the swelling in the female. I have the feed records for the hoggs, but again, it was during the move that they didn't eat for a month and then they were the two from my collection that took the longest to get to start eating again. I think the male went for two months without eating and the female just a little less. At the time they started eating - they were not spending as much time together.

I am really new to boas, so I have a lot of learning to do in observing them and documenting different events - and even knowing what behaviors are significant and which ones are not..
