From my personal experience and what I have read several other places, Tylan works very well. It is dosed at 50mg per kilogram of body weight(a kilogram = approx 2lbs) If you can find the Tylan 200 it is better because you use much less, if not the Tylan 50 works, but because you are injecting so much it is best to use a couple of injection sites. It is injected under the skin (and between the scales)in the front 1/3 of the snake. One dose every three days, for a total of three doses, did the trick for me. I also raised the heat to about 86 degrees with a hot spot around 91.
It worked great the one time we needed it and everyone that I have spoken with that has used it has gotten excellent results.
I do want to add, if you have never given any animals injections then I would STRONGLY recommend you have your vet show you or do the injections for you. I would really hate to have some one injure their animal trying something they have no experience with, just to try to save a buck or two.
Good luck,
Kathy
