There are quite a few of us out here quietly doing our thing. My husband and I are equally addicted to our hobby however I am usually the one that gets the weird looks, which doesn't phase me in the least. My mother became an attorney long before it was common for women to be in that field. So we were always encouraged to do what we like and ignore what others may think. Be knowledgable, gracious, kind and understanding of peoples misconceptions and in the long run you will be recognised and respected. It has traditionally been a mans hobby but that doesn't mean it will stay that way. | ||
