I have experienced that my boas like it a bit cooler than we think..
I only have single heat in most cages and the boas are usually on the cool side.. almost always... and my snake room is never warm.. usually about 75 degrees.
What I did was buy cages with heat installed - I think it is MUCH easier, more convenient, and definately worth it.. IMO.. like it says.. plug and play..
I did this before they offered 'undercage heat', so I couldn't really say much about that option.
Another benefit about the safe low wattage heat is if you don't happen to have a thermostat/reostat, you would be safe, safer than using your own heat without one...
Now what I have done is have double heat installed for the bottom cages which lay on the tile floor.
If you have trouble heating your room, or if they will be stacked along an outside wall or near a window, I would then recommend double heat.
I also have the light installed which I think is also very much worth it.
