Writing an essay about CITES

I'm writing an essay for my English class about an environmental issue. I chose to write about CITES, including when it started, what it does, and some of the reptiles protected by it.

I wanted to write some other things about it, but nothing I have found seems to be very interesting. Maybe I should restate that, I could read about anything to do with reptiles for hours, but it's a grade 12 English class and I don't want to bore them TOO much. Any ideas? Thanks!
