is my tegu crazy?

My tegu is demonstrating some odd looking behavior...He will sometimes go up to the clear side of the glass and rub his head against it liek he wants out or somthign and does a funny little dance........Also when is the best tiem to handle a tegu? before food after food? after food and a bask? during a bask? anytime? lol he just jumped up this log hes king of the pen now.....hes very active little guy todday
