In 03 my big snow female (00 hatch) seemed to resorb her eggs the first time around, and then laid 7 slugs the second time.



This year she scared me by passing a slug about two days after her shed, but today--9 days after the shed--she laid 11 good eggs.



She was bred X a snow male, so each of these eggs represents a potential snow baby--potentially more than i've produced in all the years combined that i've been working with the morph (don't recall an exact count offhand). Plus if these do all hatch (being a realist, i'd expect a few eggs to disappoint over the term of incubation) just this clutch could just about fill all the orders I am sitting on. So it looks like a good season for me with the snows, and good for the people hoping to get some.



I also have four double-hets for snow females that have also bred X one or both of my snow males (one of those females has already laid 11 good eggs) and I still have the unusual "yellow and white" snow that has failed to produce in the past. She bred again this year, so in a month I'll know how that female does this year. We're anxious to see some babies from her, to see if any turn out like her (so far, she's a one-of-a-kind.)
