It does not have the same texture as the normal scales but will be soft and smooth. I have 2 Blue Tegus with this kind of scarring. The younger female's wounds were quite severe and she did go off of food for a while. I treated the enormous scabs with A&D ointment just to keep them softened. It took a total of about 2 months for her to heal completely and she's fine and active now. [ Hide Replies ]
