I'm not sure whether to thank you...

Or run and duck for cover...

We certainly have had our share of "interesting" threads...

One of the big problems with written communication...whether e-mail, forums, whatever...is that it can be difficult at times to ascertain the true nature of the posts being made...

As an example, if I were to send Mark Mandic an e-mail with the word "JERK!" in the Subject line...and the words "REAL JERK!" in the body of the message, I would either receive an e-mail or a phone call from Mark...probably laughing...asking whether I had taken my happy pills today...

I really don't think Mark would immediately leap to the assumption that I hated his guts...

But that's probably because Mark knows me...

I'm really quite surprised...and somewhat taken aback...by your post...

I'm not ashamed to admit it...

As a consequence of our first "encounter"...and the flames that were quickly fanned...I had pretty much relegated you to my list of "Don't ever respond to these people...they're a waste of time"...

It's funny, actually, Gail has been saying to me for some time now that she didn't think you were as "bad" as I viewed you to be...

I thought she was mistaken...

This post of yours, however, makes me think otherwise...

Perhaps we both misunderstood each other along the way...???

I'm not sure that "doing a good job of kicking newbies in the head" is something that I would be proud of...

If that's the way that I come across, perhaps I need to work on my presentation skills...???

Anyway, before I delve into another of my rather long-winded (but definitely well-intentioned ) posts, let me wrap it up by saying this...

I'm more than willing to "start fresh" with you...if you are willing to "start fresh" with me...

Of course, this is assuming that you are sincere...

I'm surprised you noticed that I was gone...

Let's just say that I got a little fed up with the amount of time I was spending putting out "forum fires"...

I probably wouldn't be back now if it wasn't for Gail keep mentioning it to me...

I know...I know...50,000 of you are now saying "I hate Gail...if she had kept her mouth shut, we could have still been Renaissance-free...".

So...does this now mean that we can snuggle together on Friday nights...watching Three Stooges reruns...nibbling bowls of buttery popcorn...???

Thanks for the post...

I'm happy to have a new friend...

I think that makes 3 now...
