Australian Laws

Anybody out there live in or around the Brisbane area? Me and my wife are relocating to either Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney and I haven't found any specific info on keeping non-native or venomous species. I wanted to get some red foot or spur thigh tortoises but all my Google searches for local breeders in Australia have come back empty! Any help into the local laws would be greatly appreciated!
