Search for "Environment Australia" on Google; I think that's one of the entities that addresses such matters. The short answer is "no, you can't keep non-native animals." They're a little touchy about that after all the feral cats, foxes, rabbits, cane toads, etc. have wreaked havoc on the native flora/fauna. You WILL, however, be able to keep a range of the native animals that might be rare/expensive in the herp trade in other countries. ----- Chris McMartin
