I would only leave mine out on mild to warm days .60-80 degrees once it gets over 80 my cage is to hot, at night I bring them in. In the winter the stay inside and I use a mercury vaper bulb. I live in the SF bay area . I would not leave them out all year round in Virgina.Russ
