I have a four year old newt in a tank with a 3 year old Clawed frog. The frog has lived with the newt since the day i got it 3 years ago and they've never had any problems. My firebelly newt is quite big and is able to handle himself. But today i've noticed he has some lacerations on him and is a slight grey colour. This newt is my baby and I'm worried sick. Is it this skin/mouth rot? Malnutrition? and will it be passed onto my frog? I keep an eye on them and it is not my frog that has caused these lacerations.

My newt has just come out of hibernation a couple weeks ago, there has been no change to the diet or water.

I'd appreciate any comments.
