Well, if he is 4 years old I'm sure you've thought of this already, but is he shedding?
Aren't African Clawed frogs very aggressive? I have had lots of different frogs but I've stayed away from those guys, lol, easy to do here since they are illegal in my state.
Could they have had a fight over food and the frogs' strange toxin gotten into the open skin?
I guess I'd seperate them irregardless. If its a disease, you don't want "possible" contamination.
If they were fighting, you want to seperate them anyway.
I hope you get it figured out soon! Can you post a pic?
