Ok, this is only from my reading, as I have yet to have my female lay, but I will try to help! Ok, you need to get her into a lay box, with dirt not so dry that it caves in when she digs, but not so wet and hard so she can't dig. The dirt needs to be sloped on one side, about 12-14". She may dig many practice spots. Once she finally lays, take her out of the lay box, and carefully brush or scoop away the dirt. You don't want to disturb the position in which the eggs are laid. Mark the top of the egg with a pencil, and do not roll it, or move it around too much. You want to keep the same side up as in which it was laid. For incubating substrate, you can use perlite, or vermiculite (I believe, someone please correct me if I am wrong), I can't remember exactly the ratio, but I think it is like 3 parts perlite to 1 part water. Make an impression in the perlite with your thumb, and place the egg in, pencil side up. I think it should be covered about half way in the perlite. You want to keep it moist, but not wet and incubate at about 83 to 84 degrees. I think I got this right. I hope I have helped you.
