My 9 month old girl just made a very successful switch from mice to rats. She has always been an enthusiastic eater, but 2 weeks ago when I first attemted the switch, she wouldnt go near the rat. I waited 2 nights and tried again with a rat, but this time I thawed a mouse and a rat in the same bag. When they were both thawed, I rubbed the mouse all over the rat to give it that "mousey smell" and then dropped it in with my girl. She gobbled it up without thinking twice. I let a week go by and decided it was time for her to have another. I tried just the plain rat (no mousey smell added) and she took it down with only a little hesitation.

I'm very excited about this change, and I wish I had done it months ago. Thanks to all who helped convince me to do this.
