Well ok, I'm still jealous and envious of all the amazing litters that have been born this year!!! Congrats to Jeremy, Linda, Peter Kahl, Chris Nicholas, Rich Ihle,Celia, Brock, AdamC, etc etc etc.... This TRULY is the year of the BOA!!!!!!

Well my first litter finally came and I have to say I'm a little surprised/confused... but baby boas are a blessing any day of the week.

About 4 years ago I purchased a group of abberant/striped boas that had very intense coloration. There were 6 like this in the litter from a local guy and I was able to get 4 of them. They turned out to be 2.2 (always nice).

Well I put both males on one of the females that was ready to finally go this year and the babies were born yesterday. I had imagined seeing Abberant/Striped hi-color babies and to my surprise below is what I got.

There are about 4 that are VERY "pastelish" and then 8-12 Anery/Ghostly babies. Some mild abberancy is apparent, but nothing too extreme. I didn't want to bother them much so I only got a few shots, but I'll have more pics after some sheds. It looks to be a total of 26 babies and 5 slugs. Not bad for a first litter.

Congrats again to everyone.... I'll be in Daytona and would love to meet up for drinks with fellow boa enthusiasts... drop me a line.

Thanks,
