Crotalus cerastes ssp

Are their any individuals(or groups) studying C. cerastes to determine the validity of the three sub species. I know Klauber determined that scale counts and tail color were not accurate methods for separation and classification. I was wondering if there are or have been any studies using DNA analysis or even studies on venom composition. Thank you.
