Posted by: alizrdluvr at Fri May 28 13:42:24 2004 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by alizrdluvr ] Here is the black eastern Hognose I posted about earlier with no response(don't worry I'm not being sarcastic. lol) Anyway, I thought it might help if I posted a pic of the snake so everyone could see. I was just wondering if an individuall of this color is uncommon or not. I can see traces of spots along the side so I am sure that the snake was originally spotted and went malanistic wi th age, similar to what turtles will do. the red on his upper labials looks washed out from the flash, but in reality it is a bright reddish-orange color. His belly is mottled red and black, and his eyes are red. His back is shiny black. Thanks for any input. I am not into all the color morphs of hognose snakes (or any animal for that matter) so I don't know anything about the rarity of the colors. i like that natural colors, but I do think some of the color morphs out today are quite beautiful, so I'm not trying to insult anyone. Anyway, here he is. | ||
