I think you would be fine taking the 2 minutes to keep the cage clean. If you wait a few days you will have mold. I am terrible about keeping my hads off a new snake and have not had any stress problems. When I first brought home my borneo (cb, 1 year old) I had in-laws in the house that wanted to see her all the time so she got a lot of handling and I was worried about stress from what I had read about stress and bloods but she ate, pooped and shed all with 2-3 weeks of bringing her home so I guess she did fine.



I think a wet moldy cage will cause more stress than taking it out for a few minutes of housekeeping.
