After 229 days of incubation, at a daily temp high of 82 and nights of 77, after they turned a decidedly yellow hue a week after putting them on fine vermiculite, after candling them several times during that time even a few weeks ago, and not being to distinguish any "veins" or body mass at all like in a chicken egg, only some darker and lighter oranges, yellows, small dark spots, and such, today they started coming out! I had forgotten just how small thier parents were when I got them at 1 week old 15 months ago.



After way passing the magic "6 month" time frame the breeder who sold the parents to me talked about, I was loosing hope and my fly cultures dried up and now I have to get an emergency culture start!



I have 2 more clutches from the same pair but on different media. We'll see if that changes appearances and times.



I also talked to Jim from Chamco, and he mentioned that he had had a couple of eggs from one clutch hatch 3 months after the clutchmates in the same box did.



I guess what I want to say is as long as they don't collapse, and get moldy, there's still hope!
