Personally I think the only way to get anything done about this is if people begin to speak up and put pressure on these companies. I think one way to begin is to write letters to the manufacturers and CC them to the Better Business Bureau.



I think a quicker solution would be to succesfully bring a law suit against them but I'm not exactly sure how to go about doing that. I think it would have to be class action to be big enough to make any difference but where do you find an attorney to take something like this on?



I am aware there are no regulations as to what these manufacturers can put on their products but I would think there would be some misrepresentation and fraud involved somehow that could be used in a case against them. Regardless of regulations or lack of I think the manufacturers should still be held liable if they flat out lie about their products.



I've thought about trying to come up with something like organizing a class action suit but the amount of work involved would take way more time than I have. If I were rich and didn't need to work that would be a different story. I do agree 100% with you but I think we're talking big money here and it won't be easy.
