Posted by: paris at Fri Jun 4 18:23:39 2004 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by paris ] 85 is bad-if its kept at that temp for extended periods it will develop stress/lesions. salamanders go comatose at 90F-so 85 is not good-if one lives through even a week of that it is beating the odds. there are a few non native species that can handle the 80's ok-but none here. remember the higher the air temp the faster the evaporation-and sals need moisture. even though the air in the south is warmer -underground isnt-those that live there will burrow down to their comfort zone. | ||
