He is the best Businessman in ball python breeding.

Ralph does three things exceptionally well that separate him from other breeders in my opinion:

1) He is a good communicator. The guy flat out loves to talk...he talks to people...talks to people...and then talks some more. Whether you e-mail or call him he responds...and quickly! He follows through when he says he will get back to you. He is a people guy. The guy can type like no other. You can live in England and feel like you know Ralph because of how he journals and communicates on his site. Folks this build relationships......which results in trust....and then money.

2) He knows how to market a product. Ralph is exceptional at this. He knows how to create interest. He knows how to engage people in to the product he is delivering. He is totally at another level with his website than any of his competitors. His site is literally different everyday....it's a stinkin soap opera....you can't help but get sucked in. I go to many....many....many sites on a daily basis. Most of the top breeder sites just don't CHANGE! No animals...Little info...and no exciting project info...nothing to suck me in. So I may not return to there site until a month later....some I stop going to all together. Ralph takes you into the detail of what is happening with his animals (the product). He posts every clutch....every mom...every egg...every dad...when he happy....when he pissed. All this creates interest in his animals. You get engaged in the platty hype. It's marketing....marketing....marketing. Ralph also has a strong understanding of the market....what it will yield....supply and demand......etc.

3) Ralph is a forward thinker willing to take risks. I believe he understands he is 1-2 years from being out of the driver seat. In other words....he can only ride Platty Daddy so far....and then the well will eventually dry up. Therefore, he continues to take large dollar risks on an annual basis in the attempt to land the next platty. The temptation when you hit big on a morph is to ride it to your own eventual death. Not Ralph.......last year was the patternless.....recently the bubblegum.....and on and on. He is obviously a strategic thinker that looks forward and risks.

Ralph may not be pumping out the most clutches....he may not be proving out the most new designer snakes....he may not be pulling in the largest total sales. But the guy flat out knows business....understands people....and finds ways to create interest.

Frankly, I'm more impressed with Ralph's business approaches and methods then his ability to kick an all white snake.

PS........Don't feel bad.....my website is pretty boring too
